			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I began changing my life and the diet if you will in the beginning of November. When I began, I was 245-250 pounds and now? Now I am 194 pounds. 4 pounds away from my goal. I&#8217;ve found that low calories, high fiber is the most efficient way generally. But realistically, the best and easiest way I&#8217;ve found is by making lower calorie versions of dishes you love. There is NO reason a &#8220;diet&#8221; needs to taste like junk and on top of that it is the ONLY way you&#8217;ll be able to maintain healthy eating when your weight loss is over. Losing weight needs to be about having fun, whether via controlling portions by Bento Boxes or what have you. If you make it fun, it&#8217;ll be easy. In terms of thinking, i got into the mindset of &#8220;calories is currency&#8221; would you spend money you don&#8217;t have? Of course not! So why would you do it with calories?. </p>
<p>By making lower calorie versions of your dishes, you can NEVER have to feel deprived. I absolutely LOVE creamy dishes and whipped cream. So what do i do? For dessert I make a parfait. The bottom layer has crushed fiber one cereal mixed with flax seed and cinnamon, on top of that is a 60 calorie sugarfree chocolate pudding cup, on top of that is a peanut butter cream you can make by mixing sugar free cool whip and peanut butter (or better &#8216;n butter for less calories). You get the best of both worlds with chocolate and Peanut Butter <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> . 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It&#8217;s been a while since I last made a new post. Everyone talks about &#8220;oh I gained so much weight during christmas and the holidays!&#8221;. Oddly enough, with me it was the opposite. By continuing to watch what I eat, I&#8217;ve continued to lose weight. I&#8217;m now at 216 pounds. I&#8217;ve tried a couple of new dishes, here&#8217;s some of the ones that stand out:</p>
<p>Morningstar Grillers prime: Tastes pretty good, it tastes similar to a regular beef burger.</p>
<p>Trader Joe&#8217;s Brown Rice Marshmallow treats: These taste just like Rice crispy treats but with brown rice and they&#8217;re Vegan friendly PLUS they&#8217;re low calorie <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> .</p>
<p>Weight Watchers low fat american cheese: These things rock and they&#8217;re low cal too <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Skinny Dippers(by Skinny Cow): These&#8217;re actually quite good, It tastes like a popsicle. Great when you have an urge for Ice Cream. Yep, I still have urges for Ice cream even in the winter lol.</p>
<p>100 calorie popcorn pack &amp; 1 spray of I can&#8217;t believe it&#8217;s not butter 0 calorie butter spray: This reminds me of when I go to the movies. For those times I&#8217;m watching movies at home, I spray some of the spray on the popcorn to give it that fresh &#8220;In the movie theater&#8221; feel.</p>
<p>Smart Foods Honey Popcorn: These taste JUST like cracker jacks but in addition to alot of fiber from good things like chicory root. They&#8217;re also low cal and keep me feeling satisfied for quite a while <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>As a result of my new lower weight, my Ipod Touch app says that I need to lower my food intake to about 1389. For me it&#8217;s not a big deal since I keep myself at 1200 calories a day if not less. I&#8217;ve found the general rule true so far, If I suspect I&#8217;m gonna have a big lunch or dinner. I try to eat very low cal for the rest of the day. I also have been focusing more and more on fiber content as that does 2 things a)it absorbs fat as it goes through your system and b) it keeps you feeling satisfied longer.  Also if I know I&#8217;m having a frozen food or a veggie burger, I watch my sodium for the rest of the day. Anyway, that&#8217;s enough for today <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>Today I had a yogurt for breakfast, lunch was leftovers. For dinner I ordered chicken with mixed vegetables and had them hold the sauce and steam it. Who says you can&#8217;t eat healthy chinese food hehe. Now to prep for tomorrow <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!</p>

It had whole wheat english muffins, a little tomato sauce, topped with some low cal mozzarella. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This morning I went light, I had an apple and dipped it in peanut butter(quite tasty combo). Later on I went to a chinese buffet(different one) where I normally would get a bunch of crab patties and also calamari as well as a ton of buffalo wings. Today? I got a tiny portion of some grilled chicken, some corn, and a plate full of salad along with 1 shrimp sushi.</p>
<p>Later on I went shopping and decided to try some new morningstar stuff since I loved their basil,tomato,mozzarella burger. So I bought a box of their &#8220;Meatless Italian Sausage&#8221; along with one box of their &#8220;griller chik&#8217;n&#8221;. I didn&#8217;t know what to expect with either one so I decided to make the Italian Sausage for dinner..</p>
<p>I toss it on the George foreman, it smelled DAMN good. I take a lowfat tortilla(only 50 calories), toss some lettuce and some of a tomato in there along with the sausage. First thing I noticed was that the sausage fell apart VERY easy when I even touched it. The actual taste of it was ok, it was kind of spicy but I didn&#8217;t mind. But the aftereffects are what killed it for me. It seems that it had so many herbs and spices that it really did a number on my stomach and constantly giving me gas with the taste of those dumb herbs :/.</p>
<p>Hopefully this Light and Fit yogurt and this string cheese I just had will help with the insane stomach <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' /> . Needless to say I&#8217;m not buying the Morningstar Italian Sausage again.</p>

<p>Bfast: Whole Wheat Bagel with a wedge of laughing cow cheese(35 calories)</p>
<p>Lunch: I tried something new, it was a Morningstar &#8220;Mozzarella,Basil,Tomato Veggie Burger&#8221;. I had never had a veggie burger before in my life, so I didn&#8217;t really know what to expect. All I have to say is DELICIOUS. It&#8217;s not meat, but it&#8217;s good nonetheless. I put some salsa and a slice of cheese on it just in case it had no taste.</p>
<p>Dinner: Homemade chicken soup and a salad.</p>
<p>Synopsis for today:</p>
<p>Breakfast: a Dannon light and fit yogurt, I think these are definitely much better tasting than the layogurt and weight watchers yogurts. Not only are they lower in calories, but they also have chunks of fruit inside of them. Along with that I had a nesquik</p>
<p>Lunch: Same as yesterday but because it had quite a bit of taste, I removed the salsa and put one slice of lowfat american cheese on it.</p>
<p>Dinner: More leftover chicken soup with acini de pepe, along with 10 snow pea pods and a snapple ice tea.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>I must say, these veggie burgers are very good. Not only do they taste good, but they also have mozzarella inside of them.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This morning I had a &#8220;breakfast wrap&#8221; consisting of half of a cup of eggbeater whites, 2 slices of turkey bacon, half of a teaspoon of salsa wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla.</p>
<p>For lunch I had a lean cuisines pot stickers both because they were on sale and because i was curious. They gave 4 potstickers and a little rice which came out to under 300 calories. I wasn&#8217;t terribly crazy about it, i didn&#8217;t hate it but I wouldn&#8217;t rave about it either. It was rather lackluster at best. </p>
<p>For dinner I had 2 broiled flounders, some broccoli, some salad. Also had a granola bar or 2 over the course of the day and am up to 1200 for the day.</p>
<p>The cool part? The same scale that said I hadn&#8217;t lost weight a week or so ago, now it said I lost 3 pounds! Woot! About time <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My birthday is not until the 16th(tomorrow) but because tomorrow and possibly tuesday will be incredibly busy, we celebrated it today. I knew I would have a bit for dinner/lunch so I had a small breakfast.</p>
<p>For breakfast I had one cup of Kashi golean cereal and a banana. Oddly enough, 7 hours later I still was not hungry.</p>
<p>Dinnertime comes. We go to a seafood place, i ordered a steamed lobster, salad, manhattan clam chowder. </p>
<p>Birthday cake.. Just because it&#8217;s retarded to have everyone sing happy birthday and them eat your cake while you don&#8217;t, combined with the fact I had quite a few calories left for the day I decided to have a tony piece of my cake/ boston cream pie. Moderation is the key.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Before beginning my diet, one of my favorite foods were mozzarella sticks. I was a sad panda when i thought I could not have them anymore. Last night I tried a recipe found on yummydietfoods.com, essentially you take a lowfat string cheese and cut it in half. Dip it in eggbeater whites, then dip it in either italian bread crumbs or whole wheat and bake it about 7 mins at 350 degrees. I have to be honest, i wasn&#8217;t expecting them to be that good. Needless to say they were fantastic and tasted just like their high cal counterpart.</p>
<p>This morning I had an eggbeater white scrambled egg with salsa in a whole wheat tortilla for breakfast. Lunch/dinner i went to a japanese place and got teriyaki chicken with steamed mixed vegetables.</p>
<p>When I went shopping today, i picked up a few things. I haven&#8217;t really had any burgers since I began the diet. So I decided to try buying some boca burgers since I never tried them before. I also got the kashi sungrass coconut chicken frozen meal so you will get a review of it sometime this week. </p>
<p>The last thing I bought was something i saw mentioned alot on diet forums, turkey bacon. All I have to say is yummy! I cooked one slice which was only 40 calories. If you&#8217;ve ever tasted sizzlean you will love turkey bacon. </p>
